NEWBORN SESSIONS
The snuggle is real
There’s no place like home.
At home you won’t find a studio lit baby, origami-ed into a wicker basket.
No, here your little one will be snuggled up on your chest. You’ll be able to feel their heart beat and waking breaths. Soak up their larger than life stretches and sweet smiles recognizing their whole world is looking back at them. They’re surrounded by comfort, warmth, and happiness.
Home is where we’ll document your most cherished memories.
“Kailee’s eye for capturing the most beautiful things in the most ordinary of moments is just chef’s kiss.”
Melissa Cathey
Oh, to be a baby…
No matter what, they’re perfect. Right?
Keep that in mind before your session when you’re thinking about how you or your home look. Or whether your baby will need to be fed or if your dog won’t settle down.
None of that stuff matters. Not today. And especially not looking back years from now.
When I arrive your sole focus should be on the one, perfect, little baby that matters most.
Newborn Photos
Around 2-8 weeks I’ll come to your home for a relaxed, in-home session.
With 10 years of experience I’ve streamlined the process of capturing your new baby, making for a calm, easy morning focused on cuddles and connection.
We’ll capture memories that will forever remind you of when your whole world changed.
“Kailee made us feel so comfortable and at ease during a whirlwind of becoming first time parents.”

Hitting the easy button on newborn photos
-
Fill out the contact form and I’ll send all of the info you’ll need to save your due date in my calendar.
A $250 session fee and some quick online paperwork are the only things needed to book your session.
I’ll have you reach out after your baby is born to finalize a morning for me to come over.
-
Upon booking, you’ll receive a guide with my tips and tricks for making our morning together run smoothly.
I’ll walk you through outfit advice, ways to prep the home so everyone is comfy cozy (don’t worry about it being perfectly tidy), and what to expect the day of your session. -
Spend a relaxed hour or so taking photos. Usually I take photos in the living room, a bedroom, and the nursery.
We’ll be sure to get photos of both parents snuggling the baby individually and together, your baby alone, and photos that include siblings and pets. -
About 3 weeks after the session you'll receive your entire gallery. I know everyone likes to use their photos in different ways, so I offer multiple collections to choose from. Each collection includes high-resolution digital image downloads and complimentary print credit. Collections begin at $675.
It’s no secret that photo albums are my favorite way to enjoy your photos. Many families invest in a custom album after their session.
COMMON QUESTIONS
You might be
wondering…
-
Around 2 weeks is wonderful for that tiny, sleepy newborn phase. Weeks 5–8 are beautiful too — babies are more filled out and alert by then, and you've had a little more time to settle in. I'd suggest avoiding weeks 3–4 as baby acne often peaks then. If your baby is older than 8 weeks, we can absolutely still make it work.
-
Not at all. Nobody's house actually looks perfect with a newborn in it — that's part of what makes these photos real. I'm a master at keeping the focus on your connection with your baby, not what's on the counter. I'll do a quick tour when I arrive and find the spots with the best light. Cozy and lived-in is exactly right.
-
We work around your baby, always. There's no strict schedule — I leave plenty of room for feeds, changes, and whatever your little one needs. Sessions run 60–90 minutes but I'm flexible. A relaxed baby (and relaxed parents) makes the best photos anyway.
-
I always bring off-camera lighting equipment so I'm never dependent on what your home has. I'll find the spaces that feel most meaningful to you and make them work — beautifully.
-
You'll receive a prep guide with everything you need to know — what to wear, how to set up the space, and what to expect on the day. Once your baby arrives, reach out and we'll find a morning that works. I'll take it from there.
Have a question I didn’t answer?
Seeing how much your little one has grown, you’ll wonder,
“Where did the time go?”
You’ll find the answers hanging on walls,
sitting on the coffee table,
and tucked into shelves.
Those little coo’s and knuckle dimples
that feel so distant, will be right next to you
in photographs.
